New day, New website

Today has been a good but very tiring day.

Taylor has been talking fairly clearly today. He told me "I don't want it" when i asked him to eat his chips at dinner time. He told me "aww poor James" when we was playing his Thomas The Tank Engine PC game this afternoon. James has an accident and comes off the tracks so it is then our job to help fix him again. He has been very loving today and has given lots of cuddles and affection (nothing unusual) luckily for us that isn't a problem. I've read that quite a few people's children are touch sensitive and don't like being loved or touched. That must be so hard for them. I guess i should start to thank my lucky stars on a lot of issues regarding Taylor's ASD and make the most of them while he's still OK with them.

Anyway, today's clear sentences have been:

*Happy birthday to you (he woke me up singing this at 9.15am this morning)
*Aww poor James (while playing on his Thomas Tank Engine PC game as described above)
*I don't want it (when asked to eat his chips)
*Pingu please moma (pointing to laptop - he wanted to play on cbeebies website)
*Taylor's biscuits (he said biscuits properly then went back to saying 'spiggits' and 'spiskits' the rest of the day)
*Christmas tree (he pointed to the Xmas tree while i was changing his bum this morning)
*I see star moma (pointing at the xmas tree)

His speech is improving day by day but he needs his speech therapy and as the days and weeks pass and still we hear nothing the more annoyed I'm getting. Today was a huge step up for Taylor when he said "I don't want it" as usually he'd just say "no" and that would be that. He said it so clear and he knew what he was saying and what it meant and so did I. He says "I don't know" a lot but i don't think he quite understands what it means as he says it to things that don't make sense. Like for example we say "Taylor come on lets go to school" or "It's bedtime" and he'll say it then. He doesn't say it after you've asked him a question so although he knows the words i don;t think he quite understands them yet. I maybe wrong but time will tell.
