All Clear

Managed to get Taylor in to see the doctor today at 10.50am. The receptionist asked me a few questions on the phone then gave me the time and that was that. Took him to Speech Therapy and once again he had an almighty tantrum and wouldn't co-operate at all, so we left him to calm down then persuaded him to name some of the things on his PECS instead of asking him where it was and putting it into the post box (red shoe box with a hole in it lol) he named about 8/9 out of 15 of them so that wasn't too bad and he left on a high note too!!

Took him to doctors and we were there about 5mins then he came out himself to call him in which i thought was strange, on the way into the room Taylor started gasping and gulping for breath then when we sat down he asked us what the problem was so i told him that what he's just been doing as we came in!! He examined him from head to toe and Taylor was very good and did everything he wanted him to do, he even asked the doctor (pointing to it) to take it blood pressure when he saw the thing they use, he looked, pointed to it and said "put it on my arm please" i was shocked at the fact he knew what it was for as i don't think he's ever been with me when I've had it done lol.

After about 15 minutes of examining him and watching and listening to him gasping and gulping he said that he was fine and it's just a habit he's picked up, maybe because he's done it before and likes the noise he made or something along them lines. He said he will eventually grow out of it. What panicked me more than anything was the fact he was doing it while he was asleep and he said not to worry, obviously keep an eye on him but the fact that he's doing it in his sleep proves it's an involuntary thing and as it's now become habit, he's doing it without necessarily realising he's doing it (if that makes sense lol) He also told us just to be on the safe side to keep an eye on him for the next 2 weeks for any rashes or vomiting as if it's something to be concerned about it won't necessarily show up straight away and there are a few nasty bugs going around at the moment. So all in all everything's fine and i can stop worrying now, thank god!! xXx
