Speech and Language Strengths and Difficulties
Attention - Taylor's attention to language continues to improve. His concentration within conversations is good. He can participate in a conversation (on a subject that interests him) and can remain on topic. He is much more prepared to participate in activities directed by others.
Understanding of Language - Taylor's comprehension of language while delayed continues to improve. This is now not a limiting factor to his access of the curriculum.
Expressive Language - As with his comprehension, Taylor's expressive language continues to make good progress. His sentences are generally now correctly produced. He can make his needs known.
Speech Production - Taylor's speech is intelligible.
Social Communication - Taylor has social significant communication difficulties. He is making progress with this. His ability and willingness to participate with other's activities greatly supports his learning.
Summary and Future Intervention
Taylor continues to make excellent progress with his language and communication skills.
Taylor will continue to receive support from the Speech and Language Therapy service.
