Well, as per usual everything seems to be happening all at once again. We went to Woodnook School on Wednesday to Taylor's open evening and he has his first introduction session on Monday 7th July at 8.55am till 12pm. I was told that i could stay if i wanted to but i decided to throw him in at the deep end and stay away lol...We already know that his support workers have been put into place now so they will both be there on that morning and i am literally 2 minutes away from the school so it wouldn't take long for me to get there if i needed too!!!
Speech Therapy has been moved to Tuesday 8th July at 11.15am because Claire the head of the Speech for Autism can only make that date, she is coming in to see if she can help us get Taylor over the tantrum when it comes to do his 'now and next' section of his PECS. She worked wonders on him last time she came to the session, fingers crossed she can do it again lol.
Appointment with Dr Khine at Holly House CDC on Tuesday 8th July at 2.30pm for a general check up. I need to ask her what's happening about Taylor's blood tests for Chromosomes and DNA as i haven't heard anything yet and don't really see as how they are of any use, as we know they can't confirm his Autism so i need to find out why she wants them doing. I also need to see her about Taylor's feet and noise issues. He is back to walking on his tip toes, falling over nothing and walking into door frames and walls and doors or just about anything, I've seen 5 different people and they've all said it's Dyspraxia so i need to see if she can refer him to Occupational therapy or if i have to do it through my GP. I don't think his motor skills are too bad but he's 4 in less than 3 weeks and he still struggles to catch a ball and uses both hands for everything he does except he will always kick a football with his left foot!!
Our Early Bird course has almost finished and i am gutted as i am really enjoying it. I was told by Ailsa (Behavioural Psychologist) that once the course has finished (she runs it) we can go back to our monthly clinic sessions with Taylor, so i am really chuffed about that. Tony is away working again for an overnighter on the 8th July then he's away for 2 straight weeks from the 25th July. Taylor's 4th Birthday is slowly, well quickly creeping up and i haven't bought anything at all for it yet!! I have sorted his cake out and that's about it. My friend Louise from college (maths) is making him a Thomas cake and we pick it up on the 12th. Taylor's nursery vouchers finish in about 4 weeks so he will be back to his 3 days (Mon,Wed,Fri) and he officially leaves nursery on 22nd August and that will be it, his last ever day there *sniffle* lol...They are having their very first Nursery Prom on the 19th July and they all get their hats and gowns to wear and a year book lol I think it's really sweet and i can't wait, although how the hell i am going to get taylor into a shirt and trousers is completely beyond me. Won't wear trousers (school type pants) and can't get him within a mile of a shirt...i wonder if we put a Sportacus logo on it he will wear it lol...I'll think about that one and get back to you!!! xXx
