I can not believe how quick a year has gone. Taylor will be 4 3 weeks today and it seems like 5 minutes ago he was 3 in 3 weeks!! We are having a small party for him (mostly adults) the day before his birthday on the 13th at our house. Hopefully the weather will hold up and stay nice.
Speaking of weather, i am sooooo annoyed right now with Great British weather. I don't know why the call it 'great' as it's really NOT lol...i think we blinked and missed it a few weeks ago!!! I bought a gazebo a few weeks back for Taylor's party for the adults to play in lol. Plus somewhere for me to go and chill away from screaming kids and have some 'me' time without actually leaving the house (well, except out into the garden lol) anyway, i put it up on Thursday last week and managed to buy 2 side panels for it cheap from Woolworth's so we (me & mum) put it all together and sat in there for about 2 hours chillin until the sun went in and we froze to death!!! It stayed nice on Friday so we went back to Woolworth's to see if we could get some more side panels for it and we were in luck so i got 4 more as the 1st 2 i got where blue and the gazebo is green!!! Luciky the panels we got Friday where green so it matched and looked better. We set it all up and once again sat out and enjoyed the sunshine until mum picked Taylor up from Nursery at 5.30pm. Anyway, it rained on Saturday so that was depressing as it said it was going to be sunny again. On Sunday we had gale force winds of 75mph and it just collapsed. Lucikly only 1 of the poles snapped so It was salvageable. Me & Tony took it all down yesterday before it got any worse and put it all away and today it was glorious sunshine and quite warm!!!
We had visitors this morning. A friend of Dana's has an Autistic brother same age as Taylor and i have been texting his mum and today we finally got round to meeting up at my house while i was waiting for the gas man to come to service the fire and boiler. Taylor & Elliot got on very well which was surprising as Taylor can be very possessive over his toys. He had his moments but on the whole was very good and i am really pleased. It's nice to finally know somebody else in the boat as us that's local. She lives about 10 minutes walk from our house. It was good to talk to someone else (other than the people we know at the Early Bird course) about Taylor and hear things about her child too. I know you shouldn't compare kids but sometimes in our situation it's a good idea too as you can both learn from each other different ways of dealing with a particular situation etc i think it's really good and I'm really pleased.
Nothing much has happened since the last time i blogged. Taylor had his Speech Therapy last Tuesday and got himself wound up as he didn't want to do his 'now and next' stage of his PECS and he threw a chair at the Speech Therapist and my mum!! He hit her, kicked her, punched her and also tried biting her too, little monster!!! He was that wound up we had to pick him up from Nursery half hour early. We went to Early Bird course on Wednesday and he was the same there. He was tired for a start as he'd been up since 6am with very little sleep. He threw an all mighty tantrum and was very upset, tired and wound up so he had Wednesday off Nursery too. Other than that he has been very good the rest of the week and also on Friday his final Statement came through, so it's all set in stone (well ink lol) now so i am relieved about that. We have an appointment on Wednesday to go to Woodnook and meet all his teachers and see his classroom etc before he starts on Thursday 4th September. I am soooo excited but also terrified at the same time lol.
I am going to leave on a very happy note tonight. I know this has nothing at all to do with Taylor's blog but me and mum both passed our I.T exam's last week so we are off out tomorrow night for a meal together to celebrate!! xXx
