Taylor's Approval

Taylor came home today after staying at mums since Friday while we redecorated the front room and much to our surprise he came running in, stopped dead in his tracks, looked around the room and said "oh wow it's beautiful" we expected him to tell us to 'put it back' or tear chunks of paper off lol. He spent quite a while in there, decided it was good fun to throw all the cushions all over the floor and at Dana (normal routine lol) then helped me put some pictures on the wall. He handed them to me while i was on the ladder, he even held the ladder for me while i was on it saying "be careful momma, don't fall" then when I'd put them up he stepped back and said "let's see" then when i asked him if it was ok he said "yes momma, it's very pretty" then went and told his daddy, Nana, grandad and Dana "come on guys, come see, it's very pretty picture"

His speech has improved a great deal over the past few months/weeks and we can ALL understand him now, just odd little words every now and then we can't quite make out but if you can catch the beginning of his sentences you can usually figure the rest out for yourself. Also another good thing with him now, if you don't understand what he's said he doesn't get quite as frustrated, if you say to him "say again please" he will usually repeat what he's said a lot slower and clearer and it's not very often now that we don;t understand him a second time around. He has turned into a right little chatterbox!! He talks all the time, whether it's to us or himself and he has taken to singing a lot too. Mostly still songs off TV programmes but the occasional nursery rhyme in there too like Incey Spider and Twinkle Twinkle. His favourite one at the moment is Wheels On Bus and the song All Together off the Bratz Babyz film.

He has 11 days until he starts School and i am really excited now although still very nervous. He officially finished Nursery on Friday. I can't believe we won't be getting ready at 12.30pm to take him there, it's gonna feel so weird. I'm sad he's left but I'm also glad as I'll be able to spend the next 10 days on my own with him and prepare him properly for the 'big day'. It will be very strange him not being here during the day when he does start as up until then he's always been at home until dinner time whereas when he starts school he will coming home at dinner time. I'm gonna be so lost and bored!! Dana goes back to school this Thursday so i will be on my own with him for a full week so I'm gonna search the net and see if i can find some interesting new things to do with him on his own at home that will be similar to what he'll be doing at school like dressing up etc

I still haven't done anything to any of the other pages on here yet but i am working on it, I've been reading my books and taking notes so i will be making a start to getting them on the pages soon. Take care and enjoy the week ahead. xXx
